In July, a total of 275,556 real estate sales transactions were completed nationwide, resulting in a revenue of 4,476,606,777 Turkish liras in property tax. This represents a significant increase of 32 percent in real estate sales compared to June.
According to information obtained from officials at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change's General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, there were 275,556 real estate sales transactions in July.
Out of these transactions, property tax revenue amounted to 4,476,606,777 Turkish liras. Of these transactions, 106,701 were residential properties, 49,035 were land parcels, 87,414 were agricultural fields, 10,898 were commercial properties, and the remainder consisted of sales of other types of real estate.
Leading the list was Istanbul, with approximately 26,756 real estate transactions in July. This marked a nearly 32 percent increase compared to June, which recorded 208,424 real estate sales transactions. Following Istanbul were Ankara with 16,688 sales, Izmir with 12,139, Konya with 10,050, Bursa with 9,675, Antalya with 8,775, Gaziantep with 7,176, Tekirdağ with 7,135, Balıkesir with 7,110, and Mersin with 6,402 sales.
